Sunday we went to Dandenong National Reserve to have a look at several playgrounds, but mainly to go to Grant's Picnic area where you can feed the cockatoos and parrots. They feed right out of your hand and sometimes they even land on your hand, I had one of the cockatoos land on my arm and feed out of my hand. They're quite heavy and they have fairly sharp claws, but they're very gentle when taking food out of your hand.
One of the other types of parrots (not seen on the photos) were small and red, blue and green and several other colours. I had a great time as did my friend's little kids who were a bit scared of the actual feeding of the birds, but enjoyed watching us adults feeding the birds.
